Trees are for Life and preciouse,each individual tree takes time to grow and has a unique place on this planet.
Trees are always inder threat and Man always seems to want to come alang and disturb a tree that is peacefully growing somewhere.
There when I saw that this exhibtion was being proposed I jumped at the chance! to help in a small way to save some trees,2011 Trees for  Life Charity Exhibition  In Esingburgh ,Scotland

Brighton Artist Linda Boucher

Yesterday saw a jaunt to Brighton and one of my regular dropping ins was to see how Linda was getting on always a pleasant smile and friendly chat and nice to see her in her little studio under the srches by the sea

Though she  does like not like to be photographed without warning!!
Different from my usal I know but I always admire artist who stick their  neck out and say 'This is what I do!"

Enjoying The Coast

To enjoy the freshness of the salty air
being beside the sea,
the wind in your face
blowing the cobwebs away

To hear the seagull cry
the wail  and noise they make,the sound of the crashing waves
on the rocks below,
to enjoy the magic of
enjoying the coast

Gale Force 8!: Rough Sea Coast

The shipping forecasts said and so..
it proved
the wind was strong
waves crashing against the rocks, the green sea and stormy looking sky
Greys and green with hints of purple,the white of the waves .
The cries of the seagulls blown around
A wild day indeed,
on the shore

What better place to be on a hot day than under the shade of tree by a river.

The reflections in the water reflecting the blue of the sky as well as some buildings  on the opposite bank, the boat  by the bak a reminder of how the lady sitting on the bank may have traveled.

 The hat  besides her  indecates she may have   found a cool spot in which to rest

A Road in St Remy 1889 by Van Gogh

Painted in 1889 when van Gogh experienced a nervous breakdown this painting captures the hot dusry road of summer and the lone figuer of the woman  is symbolic perhaps of Van Gogh's own  isolation.

He would wonder the local road at St Remy  and the urge to paint would be upon  him.
There is much energy here as can be seen from the brush strokes depicting the dry earth and bushes by the roadside
