The moment the sun rises is magic on any day and when the scene involves the magnifigance of a mountain and a lake what could be better? Turner the Master, capture it wonderfull;y and words would be futile to describe it
This painting is one of light and dark, the light being the yellow fiekd and the dark of the tree.It is about contrast ,shadow and light, the yeloow and green could be over powering but the artist has managed to control this with his unique style
The man by the tree appears to be isolated but given the nature of the bulding this is not surprising as it was the place Van Gogh stayed for a year after his breakdown and according to the doctors notes van Gogh was sufferring from 'acute mania with hallucinations of sight and hearing as well as epeleptic fits at inferequent intervals'
It may have been this one I was thinking of sending to Scotland for the Trees For Life Exhibtion but instead if you look at the link it was the one shown.
It has been sold and the money goes to a a good cause
Trees are for Life and preciouse, each individual tree takes time to grow and has a unique place on this planet.
Trees are always inder threat and Man always seems to want to come alang and disturb a tree that is peacefully growing somewhere.
There when I saw that this exhibtion was being proposed I jumped at the chance! to help in a small way to save some trees,2011 Trees for Life Charity Exhibition In Esingburgh ,Scotland
So it may have been the above small painting ,but you can click the link to see the one I sent
Yesterday saw a jaunt to Brighton and one of my regular dropping ins was to see how Linda was getting on always a pleasant smile and friendly chat and nice to see her in her little studio under the srches by the sea
Though she does like not like to be photographed without warning!!
Different from my usal I know but I always admire artist who stick their neck out and say 'This is what I do!"

The shipping forecasts said and so..
the wind was strong
waves crashing against the rocks, the green sea and stormy looking sky
Greys and green with hints of purple, the white of the waves .
The cries of the seagulls blown around
A wild day indeed,
on the shore
